FIMS has a rich tradition of celebrating various festivals and occasions throughout the academic year. As a melting pot of diverse cultures and traditions, the college recognizes the importance of celebrating festivals as a means to foster unity, enhance students’ cultural experiences, and develop respect for diversity.
Onam, which is the state festival of Kerala. The college organizes a grand Onam feast, where students and faculty members come together to share traditional dishes and exchange greetings. The celebrations also include cultural programs like dance performances, music concerts, and fashion shows, which showcase the rich heritage of Kerala.
Eid, the religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide, is observed at the college to promote unity and inclusivity among students. The college organizes a special meal for students and faculty. The celebration serves as a platform for students from different backgrounds to learn about and appreciate Islamic culture and traditions.
Christmas, which is a major religious festival in Kerala. The college decorates the campus with Christmas trees and lights, and organizes a Christmas carol service, which is attended by students and faculty members of all faiths. The college also distributes sweets and gifts to the students, which add to the festive spirit.
Apart from these festivals, FIMS also celebrates other occasions like Diwali, Holi, Women’s day…etc.
